The Android 14 QPR2 Beta 1 (AP11.231020.013/.013.A1/.014) update has been released with bug fixes and performance improvements. This update is available for eligible Pixel devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program and includes fixes for app installations, the Android Beta Feedback app, and 5G network connection issues. The update is 444MB in size and brings the November 2023 security patch. Eligible devices include the Pixel 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices will not receive this update immediately, but it is expected to arrive soon.

One of the main issues fixed by this update is the package manager crashing when installing some apps, as well as problems with submitting feedback using the Android Beta Feedback app and connecting to a 5G network. Some known issues that are still being addressed include unconventional use of the meta-data element preventing app installations, lack of haptic feedback when unlocking the device with a fingerprint, and display issues for Pixel Fold devices.

The update will be automatically installed within five days for eligible devices, but users can also manually check for the update in the Settings > System > System updates. However, users must be part of the Android 14 Beta program to receive the update. It is important to note that beta software may come with some bugs or glitches, so users should consider this before enrolling in the program and downloading the update.
