Full Story
Apple has added a new feature called Listening Now to its Music for Artists platform. This feature promises to provide real-time data for listening analytics to Apple Music artists, allowing them to track their listener count in real-time. The Listening Now widget displays how many listeners have initiated playback on one of their songs at any given moment and provides a detailed view of their Listening Now trends from the past two days. It also highlights the top number of listeners an artist had at any given point in the last 48-hour period, as well as the average number of listeners during that time frame. Additionally, the widget gives artists a snapshot of their top-six most played back songs under Top Songs Now. The new Listening Now feature is available on the Apple Music for Artists website and through the iPhone app, which has been updated to include the new analytics widget.
