However, the price of the Galaxy S24 Ultra isn’t something to celebrate. There’s been a $100 price hike, pushing the starting price to $1,299. This is compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s starting price of $1,199.
But there’s good news too. Almost a week after the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s unveiling, reports are coming in that the Gorilla Glass Armor is a game-changer for anti-reflective displays. This is according to SamMobile.
The lucky ones who have used the Galaxy S24 Ultra in less than perfect lighting were impressed. The display is far better than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The new display is brighter and the new Gorilla Glass Armor improves the anti-reflective properties dramatically.
Compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s display is practically glare-free. Samsung and Corning, the creators of Gorilla Glass, said at the Galaxy Unpacked event that the new Gorilla Glass Armor panel reduces reflection by up to 75% compared to other glass-based screen protection panels.
Daniel Scuteri, a well-known X/Twitter tipster, had this to say: “In my media briefing with Samsung, they mentioned the coating on the S24 Ultra reduced glare by 75%…it’s pretty evident here compared to the S23 Ultra.”
