Remember the original iPhone from 2007? If you owned one, you’re probably familiar with the mophie juice pack. It’s a handy accessory that doubles as a protective case and a battery extender for your iPhone. Just press a button on the case, and voila! Your battery life gets a boost.
Fast forward to today. Zagg, mophie’s parent company, just announced the latest juice pack battery cases. But here’s the catch: they’re only for three of the four iPhone 15 series devices.
So, which iPhones are we talking about? The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Each case will set you back $99.95. But if you’re an iPhone 15 Plus owner, you’re out of luck. Zagg’s spokesperson, Jeff DuBois, explained in an email to The Verge. He said, “We omitted the iPhone 15 Plus for several reasons. The main one? Its small market share.”
Now, let’s talk specifics. The three available models are the iPhone 15 (2400mAh battery), iPhone 15 Pro (2600mAh battery), and iPhone 15 Pro Max (2800mAh battery). You can pre-order these juice packs in late February on mophie.com. Each case comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.
