Full Story

Remember back in November 2023? We got our hands on the Moto G54 Power for a review. We couldn’t help but draw parallels between its name and the Power Rangers. If the Power Rangers were a group of smartphones, the Moto G54 Power would definitely be one of them. It’s got power, and lots of it, thanks to its 6,000 mAh battery.

Now, meet the Moto G54 Power’s little brother, the Moto G24 Power. It’s been spotted on Geekbench, running on Android 14 and boasting 8GB of RAM. This info comes courtesy of 91 Mobiles.

The Moto G24 Power isn’t a surprise, really. It’s the logical spin-off of the Moto G24, which we just told you about yesterday. Some renders and specs had leaked, you see.

Back in December 2023, there was a report hinting at a possible CES 2024 premiere for the Moto G24 Power. But, the high-tech event has come and gone, and our main character is still in the making. Now, we’re thinking the official unveiling isn’t too far off. Could be hitting the shelves in a few months.

Will the Moto G24 Power make it to the US? That’s another story. For instance, the Moto G54 Power didn’t get a US release.

On Geekbench, the Moto G24 Power scored 413 in the single-core round and 1416 in the multi-core segment. Not exactly flagship performance, but hey, it’s a budget phone. With an alleged price tag around $185, you can’t really ask for more.

But here’s the thing: you do get more. The battery capacity is, without a doubt, its greatest feature. The Moto G54 Power’s 6,000 mAh battery lasts for days. Literally. We expect the same for the Moto G24 Power.

As for other specs, the Geekbench leak suggests the Moto G24 Power will have the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The chipset reportedly has six cores clocked at 1.8 GHz and dual cores clocked at 2 GHz. The Moto G24 Power could pack 8GB of RAM – not bad for a budget phone – and come with Android 14 out of the box.

And there’s more. A twin camera setup on the back (a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro), a 6.5-inch LCD HD+ 120Hz display, 256GB of storage. As for colors, you’ve got Dark Blue and Silver to choose from.
