So, the Vision Pro spatial computer is gonna be up for grabs soon. Pre-orders kick off on January 19th, bright and early at 5 AM PST or 8 AM EST if you’re on the other side of the country.
Now, if you’re more of a “see it to believe it” kinda person, you can check it out in U.S. Apple Stores on February 2nd. Yep, Groundhog Day. It’s gonna set you back a cool $3,499 though.
Apple Store reps are getting prepped to sell this bad boy. But don’t expect a ton of inventory to be available, at least not initially. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the trusty Apple analyst from TF International, launch day units are gonna be pretty scarce.
Kuo dropped a tweet forecasting a mere 60,000 to 80,000 Vision Pro units for that February 2nd release. So, he’s predicting these things will sell out faster than hotcakes at a breakfast buffet. His tweet read, “Although Apple hasn’t clearly defined the product positioning and key applications of Vision Pro, and the price isn’t exactly pocket change, the user experience (like, giving users the illusion that they can control the user interface with their minds) created by the groundbreaking technology innovations should make it easy to sell out after the release.”

Now, the Vision Pro is only gonna be available in the U.S. at launch. So even if you’ve got the cash and you’re in the States, there’s no guarantee you’ll snag one on February 2nd. Despite the hefty price tag, there are folks who’ll want it for its capabilities, its cool factor, or just to show off.
