Full Story
Samsung has a history of keeping things unpredictable in the true wireless earbuds field. Last month’s release of the Galaxy Buds FE took many by surprise as it was a budget-friendly AirPods rival. Many expected Samsung to launch a sequel to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro flagship or a “standard” Galaxy Buds 3, but it appears that a follow-up to one of those products will not be happening until 2024.
The almost always reliable sources at SamMobile suggest that the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are tipped to receive a sequel named the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at some point next year. However, not much is known about these earbuds, and their existence and 2024 announcement are not confirmed.
If we were to make an educated guess, we could expect Samsung to unveil the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro alongside the Galaxy S24 handset family in early 2024 or the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 later in the year. However, given the secrecy surrounding the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, it’s uncertain when they will be released.
It remains to be seen if Samsung will release the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro before Apple launches the AirPods Pro 3. The rumor also brings into question the potential release of a non-Pro Galaxy Buds 3 model. It’s unclear if such a product has been deemed pointless by Samsung after the Galaxy Buds FE’s recent debut, or if Samsung is simply keeping it a secret for now.
