Check out the latest predictions from Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) regarding the upcoming iPhone models. Young predicts that the non-Pro iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will maintain the same size and refresh rate as their predecessors, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. However, in 2025, the displays on the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus will be increased in size to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. This means that the Pro models, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will have the larger screen sizes next year.

Another tipster by the name of Revegnus has posted data about the screens for all four 2024 iPhone 16 series models. According to Revegnus, the iPhone 16 will feature a 6.12-inch LTPS 60Hz display, while the iPhone 16 Plus will have a 6.69-inch LTPS 60Hz display. The Pro models, on the other hand, are expected to have slightly different specifications with the iPhone 16 Pro sporting a 6.27-inch LTPO dynamic refresh rate and the iPhone Pro Max being equipped with a 6.86-inch screen also featuring an LTPO dynamic refresh rate. Both Pro models will also come with “overall improvements in display components.”

In addition to the display information, there are other rumors surrounding the iPhone 16 line, including the likelihood that all four new phones will be powered by the same 3nm A18 Pro chipset. This would mark a departure from previous models where the non-Pro units were given the chips used by the previous year’s Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro is also expected to include the 5x Tetraprism periscope lens, which was debuted on this year’s iPhone 15 Pro Max.

With all these exciting predictions, it’s hard not to be counting down the days until Apple unveils the 2024 iPhone models. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the release date!
